Privacy Policy
Last updated: 15 October 2026
This policy describes how SearchCue handles information when the app is used for keyword research and analysis. SearchCue is currently a development-stage project.
Information processed
Depending on how the app is configured, information may include keyword phrases and related research settings supplied by the user, keyword metrics returned by enabled data providers, and analysis results generated for the user.
Google Ads API
If a user connects SearchCue to the Google Ads API, the app may request keyword planning data such as keyword ideas and search-volume estimates. Google data is used to provide the requested keyword research features and is handled in accordance with applicable Google API terms and policies. SearchCue does not sell Google user data.
AI analysis provider
If AI analysis is enabled, keyword text and the minimum context needed to perform the requested classification or summarisation may be sent to the configured AI API provider. Do not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information in keyword fields. The provider's own terms and privacy policy also apply to its processing.
Storage and security
In the current local-app design, configuration secrets should be stored locally and must not be shared publicly or committed to source control. Do not publish API keys, OAuth client secrets, refresh tokens, or customer account identifiers in a public repository. If SearchCue later offers a hosted multi-user service, this policy must be updated to describe its actual hosting, storage, retention, and account practices before launch.
Sharing and sale
SearchCue does not sell user information. Information is sent to third-party providers only when needed to operate integrations or perform an analysis requested by the user, as described above.
Retention and deletion
For the current local version, users control their local input files and exports. Data retained by Google or an AI provider is subject to that provider's applicable policies and settings. Retention practices will be updated if the app's architecture changes.
Children
SearchCue is a general-purpose research tool and is not intended for children under 13.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the app's features or data practices change. The latest version will be published on this page.
